Participants engage in movement and meditation practices rooted in collective care, resilience, and ancestral wisdom.
-
Programming emphasizes connection, fostering a sense of belonging and shared accountability among participants.
Group sessions and women’s circles encourage dialogue, storytelling, and support, creating pathways for collective empowerment and liberation.
-
Sessions are adaptable to meet the needs of diverse groups, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
Whether for individuals, grassroots organizations, or community groups, programming is tailored to align with specific goals, themes, or healing intentions.
Kemetic Yoga
originated in Egypt, focuses on the movement of energy through the body in order to connect with one’s higher intelligence and the divine. One practices Kemetic yoga at a much slower pace than in a standard asana class, and there is more of a focus on meditation and the chakras (energy centers).
Afro Soul Flow
is a special event workshop that combines kemetic and vinyasa yoga styles in a mindful and energizing setting and includes Afro-diasporic traditional dance movement accompanied by live drumming.
Trauma-Informed Yoga
is based on a particular understanding of trauma, one that emphasizes its impact on the entire mind-body system, as opposed to particular mental states (e.g., troubling memories) viewed in isolation from the physical body.
Restorative
as the name suggests this form of yoga helps encourage healing and support for the body. It’s objective is to ‘restore’ the body by rest and restoration of balance. These poses will help its students activate the parasympathetic nervous system and by activation that helps the PNS ‘rest and digest’. This enables the PNS to keep basic functions operating as they should.
Mindful Movement
inclusive and adaptable, catering to all levels of experience and a variety of themes including:
Yin Yoga: deep stretch and release.
Vinyasa Yoga: dynamic, strength-based.
Hatha Yoga: alignment and breath focused.
Integrative Practice
additional healing modalities designed to deepen the practice and amplify its restorative benefits
